Introducing the Nordic Journal of Media Studies
The first issue of a new Open Access journal, Nordic Journal of Media Studies, has been published. The issue editors, Kirsten Frandsen and Hanne Bruun, hope that it will contribute to the field by addressing current research topics and explore issues that are not yet fully mature. Kulturjournalistiken spelade en viktig roll i den svenska rapporteringen av terrorattackerna i Paris 2015. Genom att ta fasta på händelsernas sammanhang med en mer tolkande ansats bidrog den till att belysa aspekter som demokratiska värderingar och känslomässig gemenskap. Men gränsen mellan nyhets- och kulturjournalistik kan vara på väg att suddas ut. Det visar en ny studie publicerad av Nordicom vid Göteborgs universitet.
