Nordicom’s operations are continuously developing, and much has changed since the organisation was founded in the 1970s. Our staff has expanded, and both our mandates and our users’ needs and expectations have changed over time. Therefore, we have been working to update our website so that it gives a clear presentation of who we are today, what we do, and what we offer our users.
“We have focused a lot on usability and accessibility on our new website. We have therefore given the web a cleaner design, and we have improved several web functions”, says Cecilie Ravik, communications officer and responsible for Nordicom’s website.
A few functions on the new website still need improvement. For example, we are working to improve the search function for our publications, as well as our system for linking.
We are continuously working to improve our website, and the best way to do that is with feedback from our users. So please click around on our website and tell us if there is something that you like or don’t like. Did you find what you were looking for? Or is there something that is not working?
Please send your feedback to Nordicom’s communications officer Julia Romell: julia.romell@nordicom.gu.se.
About Nordicom
Nordicom's operations are divided into three focus areas:
1) Academic publishing: We publish monographs, edited anthologies, and two peer-reviewed scientific journals, Nordicom Review and Nordic Journal of Media Studies.
2) Facts and analysis: We follow and analyse media development in Sweden and the Nordics, and compile and present statistics and facts. We also conduct the Swedish Media Barometer survey.
3) Researcher collaboration: We work to create contacts among Nordic researchers and between academia and society in Sweden and the Nordics. We operate the Nordic media researcher platform NordMedia Network and co-organise the biennial media research conference NordMedia.
