NordMedia 2017 conference is coming soon. Next summer we will meet again, this time in Finland. The School of Communication, Media and Theatre at the University of Tampere is honored to organize the next biannual NordMedia conference.
NordMedia 2017 conference will be held August 17 - 19, 2017. Theme for the conference is Mediated Realities – Global Challenges. Read more about the conference theme from our website.
The conference program is nearly ready, the keynote speakers are reserved and the descriptions of divisions and temporary working groups are published. You will find the draft of the program on the conference website.
Lilie Chouliaraki is a professor of Media and Communication at London School of Economics and Political Science. She has written extensively about media ethics, particularly about the problem of mediated suffering, digital journalism, human rights and humanitarian communication as well as discourse theory and analysis.
Jackie Stacey is the professor of Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Manchester. Her academic background is an interdisciplinary one, combining European Studies, Womens Studies and Cultural Studies. Her research interests are joined together with a concern of the changing formations of fantasy, processes of subjectivity and modes of embodiment.
