Nordicom's facts and analysis team has been strengthened by the addition of Elisabeth Falk as a new analyst. Elisabeth comes most recently from a position as deputy chief analyst at the SOM Institute at the University of Gothenburg, where she worked with everything from question formulation, field plans, and collaboration, to designing mailouts, doing analyses, and method experiments. Previously, during the last year of her master's education, Elisabeth worked as an assistant researcher at the Swedish National Election Studies programme.
"It was my position at the Swedish National Election Studies programme that originally sparked my interest in surveys, something I'm really looking forward to continue working on at Nordicom", says Elisabeth.
Focus on the Media Barometer
In her new role, Elisabeth will primarily contribute to the work of the Media Barometer, Nordicom's annual survey that maps the Swedish population's use of various media. With several years of experience in planning and carrying out scientifically based surveys, she looks forward to taking on the work of confirming good data quality and representativeness in the Media Barometer.
"I'm really looking forward to being part of the work on and developing the largest survey of media use in the Swedish population", she says.
Elisabeth has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in International Administration and Global Governance (IAGG), both from the University of Gothenburg.
"The Media Barometer is one of the most important instruments we have for understanding the importance of the media in today's Swedish society. Elisabeth possesses expertise that will help us carry out even better investigations in the future", says Jonas Ohlsson, director of Nordicom.
